Job Role
A senior-level opportunity to lead the mechanical design of large-scale, technically complex data center projects. You'll serve as the go-to subject matter expert within the project team, owning the technical direction, mentoring junior engineers, and interfacing directly with clients as a trusted advisor. This is a hands-on leadership role with scope for business development involvement and contribution to firmwide design standards.

Requirements

- Lead and oversee mechanical design scope across full project lifecycle, from concept through construction

- Manage scope, schedule, and budgeted hours within discipline; coordinate across all engineering disciplines

- Engage in client-facing technical discussions, presentations, and RFP/RFQ pursuits

- Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers

- Drive QA/QC processes and uphold design quality standards

- Contribute to firmwide knowledge: design guides, calculation templates, technical memos, and specification standards

- Stay current with evolving data center technologies and industry standards through conferences, publications, and professional networks

Qualifications

- Accredited engineering degree (or equivalent experience)

- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on mission critical / data center projects

- Professional Engineer (PE) licence required

- Proficiency in Revit, Autodesk, BIM 360, and Trace 700; familiarity with Pipe-Flo and CFD tools (e.g. Fluent, 6Sigma) preferred

- Proven ability to lead multi-stakeholder projects and communicate effectively across technical and client teams

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop solutions for complex, multi-system environments
