The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring quality standards are achieved across all construction and MEP disciplines while supporting successful commissioning and client handover.

Job Title: QA/QC Manager

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead the full quality assurance and quality control function on a 100MW greenfield hyperscale data centre project in Stockholm, Sweden, on behalf of a fast-growing Nordic general contractor. As the project's senior quality authority representing the GC, you will develop and manage the project quality management system, own the ITP process across all civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical workstreams, and ensure full compliance with client specifications, applicable standards, and the developer's quality requirements from groundworks through to final handover. You will manage and coordinate all quality activities across the GC's own scope and those of its subcontractor supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Management Plan and Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001, client specifications, and the GC's internal quality standards.Develop, review, and manage all Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical workstreams, ensuring all hold points and witness points are correctly defined, communicated, and adhered to by all parties on site.Conduct daily site quality inspections across all active construction areas, monitoring workmanship and installation quality against approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.Raise, track, and close out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) across all project workstreams, coordinating corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with subcontractors, package managers, and the client quality team in a timely and structured manner.Review and approve subcontractor quality plans, method statements, and material submittals prior to works commencing on site.Manage the project document control and quality documentation system, ensuring all inspection records, material certificates, test results, and as-built drawings are maintained in accordance with Good Document Practices (GDP).Plan, conduct, and report on internal quality audits and support all external client and third-party audits throughout the project lifecycle.Interface directly with the developer's QA/QC team, attending all hold point inspections, client quality audits, and quality review meetings as the GC's primary quality representative.Oversee the punch list and mechanical completion process, ensuring all outstanding quality items are formally tracked and closed out prior to commissioning and system handover.Lead the preparation and compilation of the final handover dossier, ensuring all quality records, as-built documentation, test certificates, and O&M manuals are complete, accurate, and compliant.Manage, direct, and mentor QA/QC engineers and inspectors embedded across the project workstreams.Prepare and present weekly and monthly quality performance reports to the project manager and client quality team.

Requirements:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.Minimum 8 years of QA/QC management experience on large-scale construction projects, with at least 3 years on data centre, mission-critical, or complex industrial projects at GC or main contractor level.Proven track record as QA/QC Manager or Lead representing a GC, with direct experience managing NCRs, ITPs, client audits, and handover documentation across multiple work streams simultaneously.Broad technical understanding of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes in a data centre or critical facility context, sufficient to review and sign off quality across all disciplines.Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management standards and their practical application on construction projects.Strong experience managing structured document control environments and quality records to GDP standards.Experienced in planning and conducting internal audits and managing external client and third-party audit processes.Experience working on data centre projects in the Nordic region or with Nordic contractors is a significant advantage.Fluent English required; Swedish language skills are a strong advantage.
