Requirements
- Provide technical oversight of end-to-end electrical designs across the full power chain: MV distribution, LV distribution topologies, and rack-level delivery
- Ensure design quality, code compliance, and alignment with internal technical standards across all projects
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal electrical design standards, specifications, and best practices
- Maintain design consistency and quality across a rapidly scaling multi-site portfolio
- Review designs for alignment with major redundancy topologies (2N, N+1, catcher bus, distributed-redundant) and advise on appropriate application
Qualifications
- Proven experience designing end-to-end electrical systems for data centers or mission critical facilities across the full chain from utility feed to rack-level delivery
- Prior experience at a hyperscale operator (AWS, Google, Meta, Microsoft) or major mission critical design firm serving hyperscale strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of major power distribution topologies and when each applies
- Track record of setting and enforcing design standards and conducting quality reviews across a portfolio
- PE licence preferred; proficiency in SKM or ETAP a plus

You'll set the basis of design, master specifications, and standard drawings for every cooling system in the portfolio, make critical architectural decisions on coolant chemistry, chiller topology, and free cooling strategies, and build out the mechanical engineering team from the ground up. This is an owner-side role with full end-to-end accountability, from chip-level thermal interfaces through to heat rejection plant, across multiple concurrent programmes at unprecedented scale.
Requirements
- Define and own the mechanical cooling basis of design, master specs, standard drawings, and sequences of operation across the full portfolio
- Drive architectural decisions on coolant chemistry, chiller topology (air- vs. water-cooled centrifugal), CDU elimination, medium-voltage chiller integration, and free cooling to achieve best-in-class PUE and WUE
- Define modular, prefabricated mechanical assemblies (containment cooling units, chiller skids, pump packages, piping modules) engineered for rapid deployment with minimal field interfaces
- Own mechanical design delivery across multiple concurrent programmes from concept through IFC, enforcing quality at each milestone
- Direct and coordinate external MEP consultants throughout the full design lifecycle
