About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced MEP Lead to join a major Data Centre construction project in Skellefteå, Sweden. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery from design and installation through to commissioning and client handover.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering mission-critical infrastructure while working closely with project teams, subcontractors, consultants and the client to ensure programme, quality, safety and commercial objectives are achieved.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate all MEP services across the design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover phases.Manage and support MEP project teams, including engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and specialist vendors.Oversee technical reviews, quality inspections, progress tracking and project reporting.Ensure all MEP works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, programme requirements, safety standards and company procedures.Liaise with clients, consultants, design teams and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignment.Review and approve MEP design documentation, technical submittals, shop drawings, commissioning plans and method statements.Identify and resolve design, installation and coordination issues to maintain project progress and minimise risk.Drive commissioning readiness activities and ensure a seamless transition through testing, commissioning and client handover.Support project planning, forecasting, procurement and resource management activities.Coordinate closely with CSA and Commissioning teams to ensure successful integration of all project systems.Monitor project performance against programme, budget, quality and safety targets.Promote a strong Health & Safety culture across all MEP activities on site.RequirementsMust hold a valid EU passport and be eligible to work in Sweden.Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.Minimum 10 years' experience delivering large-scale construction, industrial, mission-critical or Data Centre projects with a strong MEP focus.Proven experience in an MEP Lead, Senior MEP Manager, MEP Project Manager or similar leadership role.Strong understanding of MEP systems, design coordination, installation methodologies, testing and commissioning processes.Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and key project stakeholders.Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.Ability to manage multiple workstreams while maintaining programme, quality and safety objectives.Previous Data Centre, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, battery plant or other mission-critical project experience is highly desirable.What's on OfferOpportunity to work with a recognised leader in the Data Centre construction sector.Be part of a forward-thinking team delivering critical infrastructure in a rapidly growing market.Exposure to large-scale, technically challenging and high-profile projects.Long-term career progression and professional development opportunities.Collaborative and supportive working environment.Competitive salary and benefits package.

We at Smart4EPC are delighted to be supporting our client who is a Tier 1 contractor in their search for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. Currently they are at an exciting stage of expansion, delivering major energy infrastructure projects across the UK. This role offers the opportunity to work on one of the largest hyperscale data centre developments in the UK.

You will support the commercial delivery, with involvement in the design, construction and fit-out of a 300 MVA substation and critical power infrastructure in East London. Key Responsibilities

Take commercial ownership of energy infrastructure packages, including substations, power installations, pipelines and associated civils works.Manage subcontract procurement, administration and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle.Prepare and maintain accurate cost reports, CVRs, forecasts and cash flow projections.Assess, negotiate and agree subcontractor interim valuations and final accounts.Prepare and manage compensation events, variations and contractual claims under NEC3/4 contracts.Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing strategies to maximise project performance.Work closely with site teams, engineers and project managers to maintain commercial awareness and support successful project delivery.Support monthly reporting, project reviews and senior commercial management activities.Contribute to bid and tender submissions as the business continues to expand within niche energy infrastructure markets.Play a key role in the delivery of Project Olympus, providing critical power infrastructure to support one of the UK's largest data centre campuses and future AI-driven digital growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civils, utilities, energy, rail or gas infrastructure.Strong understanding of NEC3/4 contracts.Experience in subcontract management, cost reporting, change control and final account settlement.Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.Progressing towards or already achieved RICS or ICES chartership (desirable).Experience working on substation, power, pipeline or tunnelling projects is advantageous.Strong analytical, commercial and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
