Overview
A leading contractor delivering mission-critical and large-scale construction projects is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead all quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing project quality systems, managing inspections and testing processes, overseeing subcontractor compliance, and ensuring all works are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile data centre, industrial, and mission-critical projects within a fast-paced international environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a QA/QC Manager, Quality Manager, QA/QC Lead, or Senior Quality Engineer (typically 5+ years)
- Strong understanding of quality management systems, inspection processes, and construction quality control procedures
- Experience working on large-scale construction, MEP, infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical projects
- Strong knowledge of quality standards, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), method statements, and project specifications
- Experience managing inspections, audits, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective actions
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Experience managing subcontractor quality performance and compliance
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong reporting and documentation capabilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Must be an EU Citizen
Desirable Skills
- Previous data centre project experience
- Experience working on mission-critical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, industrial, or infrastructure projects
- Lead Auditor qualification or ISO 9001 certification experience
- Background in Mechanical, Electrical, CSA, or Building Services disciplines
- Knowledge of commissioning and turnover processes
- Health & Safety qualifications and strong understanding of site compliance requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all project QA/QC activities from construction through to final handover
- Develop, implement, and maintain project quality management plans and procedures
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, contractual requirements, and industry standards
- Manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, quality documentation, and inspection records
- Coordinate quality inspections, audits, and surveillance activities across all disciplines
- Review and approve quality documentation submitted by subcontractors and vendors
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and close-out processes
- Monitor subcontractor and supplier quality performance to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Conduct internal audits and support external quality audits when required
- Produce quality reports, KPI updates, and project quality metrics for management and client teams
- Collaborate closely with construction, engineering, commissioning, and client teams to ensure quality objectives are achieved
- Support system completion, turnover, and handover processes
- Promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement across the project
- Attend project meetings and provide expert quality guidance to stakeholders
