- Manage technical quality through structured design reviews and cross-discipline coordination
- Collaborate with clients to define functional and operational goals including redundancy configurations (N+1, 2N), PUE targets, and capacity planning
- Develop and review MEP and process engineering designs for data center cooling, power distribution, and systems integration
- Oversee submittal reviews, RFI responses, and field verifications during construction administration
- Present engineering solutions and project updates to clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners
- Track and report project progress using project management tools; maintain strong written and verbal technical communication throughout
- Conduct jobsite walks, inspections, and technical audits across multi-level infrastructure
- Travel to project and client sites nationwide as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of engineering design experience, with at least 3 years focused on mission critical or data center environments
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing multidisciplinary design teams, ideally on fast-track design-build projects
- Strong understanding of power systems, cooling technologies (CRAH, CRAC, chilled water), and BMS integration
- Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier standards, NFPA 70E, ASHRAE 90.1/TC 9.9, and relevant regulatory frameworks
- Experience with both greenfield and retrofit data center projects a strong plus
- Effective communicator and technical leader with proven ability to manage client relationships and influence project outcomes
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to the reliability and criticality standards of mission critical environments
