HSE Manager | Data Centre - Electrical Package

Job Title: HSE Manager

Location: Stockholm, Sweden

Overview

A leading contractor is looking for an experienced HSE Manager to support the delivery of a major data centre project in Stockholm, Sweden.

This is a key role focused on Health, Safety & Environmental management across a large-scale electrical package, working within a fast-paced, mission-critical construction environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving HSE standards across site activities, ensuring compliance with Swedish legislation and project requirements, and working closely with the client, main contractor, electrical contractors, and wider project teams to deliver the project safely and efficiently.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as an HSE Manager / HSE Lead on large-scale construction projectsStrong background in data centres, mission-critical, or high-risk construction environmentsExperience supporting the delivery of large electrical packages or electrical construction worksStrong knowledge of construction HSE management, risk assessment, RAMS and permit-to-work systemsExperience managing HSE across electrical installation, testing and commissioning activitiesStrong understanding of electrical construction risks and safe systems of workExperience coordinating HSE requirements across subcontractors, contractors, consultants, and client teamsKnowledge of Swedish HSE legislation and construction regulations is highly desirableExperience conducting site inspections, audits, toolbox talks and incident investigationsAbility to monitor and drive HSE performance across a large and fast-moving projectStrong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skillsExperience working in fast-track / high-pressure environmentsFluent English required; Swedish beneficial

Key Responsibilities

Lead HSE delivery across the electrical package on the data centre projectDrive a strong safety culture across contractors and subcontractorsEnsure compliance with project HSE requirements, legislation and industry standardsReview and approve RAMS, risk assessments, permits and method statementsMonitor electrical installation, testing and commissioning activities from an HSE perspectiveConduct regular site inspections, audits and safety walksIdentify risks and implement effective corrective and preventative actionsLead and support incident, near-miss and accident investigationsCoordinate HSE requirements between the electrical contractor, main contractor, client and wider project teamsDeliver and support toolbox talks, inductions and HSE briefingsTrack HSE performance, KPIs, actions and compliance across the projectSupport programme delivery by proactively identifying and resolving HSE issuesEnsure environmental and sustainability requirements are maintained throughout deliveryProvide regular HSE reporting and communicate performance to project stakeholdersPromote continuous improvement and maintain the highest standards of safety across this mission-critical project
