An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy delivering cutting-edge critical facilities and data center projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex mission-critical infrastructure projects while providing technical leadership and mentoring within a collaborative engineering environment.

We are seeking a motivated professional with a strong consulting engineering background and proven experience designing mechanical systems for data centers and other critical environments.

The Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, coordination, and delivery of mission-critical projects. You will work closely with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop innovative mechanical solutions that support some of the most demanding facilities in the industry.

You will also contribute to technical leadership initiatives, staff development, and the successful execution of projects from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the mechanical design of critical facilities and data center projects.Develop project specifications, system narratives, and mechanical system layouts.Establish project design standards, criteria, and engineering approaches.Review and oversee system analysis and engineering reports.Evaluate mechanical system options and building conditions.Coordinate with architects, consultants, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships throughout project delivery.Oversee project correspondence and technical documentation.Manage construction administration activities, including: Site inspections and field reportsRFIsBulletinsAddendaTechnical reviews and responsesSupport quality assurance and quality control procedures.Conduct employee evaluations and support team development.Mentor junior engineers and assist with technical training initiatives.Participate in technical leadership and continuous improvement programs.Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.Minimum 8+ years of experience within an MEP consulting engineering environment.Proven experience working on data center, critical facilities, or mission-critical projects.Professional Engineer (PE) license required.Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.Strong hands-on mechanical design experience.Advanced proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.Experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems for complex facilities.Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination processes.Excellent communication and client-facing skills.Ability to mentor and develop engineering staff.
