Job Role

A senior technical opportunity to provide end-to-end electrical design oversight for large-scale data centers across the full power chain, from medium-voltage distribution through to rack-level delivery. You'll ensure design quality, code compliance, and alignment with the firm's technical standards across a rapidly scaling portfolio, contribute to the development of internal design standards and specifications, and maintain consistency as project count accelerates toward 10GW. This is a high-impact role for an engineer with deep hyperscale or mission critical pedigree.

Requirements

- Provide technical oversight of end-to-end electrical designs across the full power chain: MV distribution, LV distribution topologies, and rack-level delivery

- Ensure design quality, code compliance, and alignment with internal technical standards across all projects

- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal electrical design standards, specifications, and best practices

- Maintain design consistency and quality across a rapidly scaling multi-site portfolio

- Review designs for alignment with major redundancy topologies (2N, N+1, catcher bus, distributed-redundant) and advise on appropriate application

Qualifications

- Proven experience designing end-to-end electrical systems for data centers or mission critical facilities across the full chain from utility feed to rack-level delivery

- Prior experience at a hyperscale operator (AWS, Google, Meta, Microsoft) or major mission critical design firm serving hyperscale strongly preferred

- Deep knowledge of major power distribution topologies and when each applies

- Track record of setting and enforcing design standards and conducting quality reviews across a portfolio

- PE licence preferred; proficiency in SKM or ETAP a plus

- Experience with equipment specification, submittal review, and design standards development from scratch beneficial

Requirements

Qualifications

- Proven ownership of mechanical design for data centers or high-density facilities from concept through build

- Strong command of cooling system design for AI-class density including chilled water, CDUs, and direct liquid cooling; ability to design in modular, repeatable templates

- Experience managing external consultants and bridging technical design to internal strategy

- PE licence preferred; direct-to-chip or liquid cooling design experience a plus

- Familiarity with modular or prefab template programmes and CFD tools (6SigmaET, Icepak) a plus
