Our client are seeking an experienced Sr BAS Engineer to join their Building Automation team. This key role is responsible for engineering tasks related to construction-based projects, developing complete ATC (Automatic Temperature Control) submittal packages from preliminary designs. The ideal candidate will ensure designs align with project plans, addenda, job-specific requirements, and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
-Size and select control valves
-Size and select ATC dampers/actuators
-Select all required DDC components
-Generate a comprehensive bill of materials
-Create a full set of project-specific ATC schematic control drawings
-Order components upon approval of submittals
-Identify and implement integration solutions
-Collaborate with the design team to resolve discrepancies in project documentation via RFIs
-Perform other related duties as assigned

Work Environment:
Work is primarily conducted in office settings with occasional visits to active construction and renovation sites. Site conditions may include exposure to dust, noise, and other typical elements of commercial job sites.

Physical Demands:
This role involves a combination of sitting, standing, kneeling, and crouching. Frequent use of hands for computer work and operation of office equipment is required. Strong vision and manual dexterity are essential for handling technical documents and tools.

Position Type & Hours:
This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position.

Travel:
Primarily office-based with occasional travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:
-Minimum 5 years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) or HVAC controls
-Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems, and integration applications
-Tridium Niagara Certification required
-Proficiency in control systems applications, system networking, and IT coordination
-Experience with AutoCAD and Visio or equivalent engineering software
-Strong communication and customer service skills
-Understanding of network configurations and 3rd party system integrations
-Solid knowledge of Tridium and mechanical equipment sequencing
-Ability to work independently and within a team Read less
