Overview

Our client, a leading Nordic General Contractor, is looking for an experienced QA/QC Manager to oversee quality management activities on a hyperscale data centre project in Stockholm.

This role is ideal for a quality professional with a proven track record working for Main Contractors on complex mission-critical projects. You will take ownership of quality assurance, inspections, documentation control, testing oversight, and turnover readiness throughout the project lifecycle.

ContractLocation: Stockholm, SwedenWorking Arrangement: FreelanceContract Length: 12+ MonthsRate: Negotiable (Based on Experience)Mobilisation: ImmediateOn-site, 5 Days per WeekKey ResponsibilitiesManage the project QA/QC programme from construction through handover.Develop inspection strategies and quality control processes.Review and approve ITPs, method statements, and quality documentation.Coordinate inspections and testing activities across all project workstreams.Ensure subcontractor compliance with project quality requirements.Lead quality audits and monitor corrective actions.Manage NCRs, punch lists, and quality close-out activities.Work closely with commissioning teams to ensure turnover readiness.Liaise directly with developers, consultants, and client quality teams.Deliver regular quality reports and KPI updates to project leadership.RequirementsDegree in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.8+ years of QA/QC experience with at least 3 years in a management role.Strong General Contractor or Main Contractor background.Experience on hyperscale data centres or other critical infrastructure projects.Thorough understanding of quality systems, inspections, testing, and turnover processes.Experience managing quality teams and subcontractors across multiple packages.Strong documentation and stakeholder management skills.Experience using digital quality management platforms.Swedish language skills are advantageous.Fluent English required.
