About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Lead to join a major Data Centre construction project in Skellefteå, Sweden. This is a key leadership position responsible for the overall management and successful delivery of a large-scale mission-critical project, ensuring it is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Reporting to the Project Director, the successful candidate will provide strong leadership across all project functions while maintaining excellent client, stakeholder, and subcontractor relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage overall project cost, programme, and budget from project inception through to completion.Lead the successful delivery of all project activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and performance objectives.Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project teams to ensure efficient project execution.Monitor and manage critical milestones, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to programme delivery.Review and evaluate construction proposals, pricing submissions, and scopes of work.Lead client meetings and key project coordination meetings, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.Analyse and report on factors impacting construction costs, providing recommendations and solutions to maintain project objectives.Manage procurement activities and oversee long-lead equipment delivery schedules.Review and validate cost estimates and commercial submissions from subcontractors and project stakeholders.Support engineering and design teams by providing cost and budget guidance during design development and change management processes.Monitor equipment availability to ensure alignment with construction schedules.Coordinate scheduling reviews and ensure integration with project controls and reporting systems.Review and approve invoices, payment applications, variations, and retention payments.Manage project close-out and client handover, including documentation, warranties, testing records, and final deliverables.Promote a strong Health & Safety culture across the project and ensure compliance with all statutory and site requirements.RequirementsMust hold a valid EU passport and be eligible to work in Sweden.Minimum 10 years' experience in a Project Lead, Project Manager, Senior Construction Manager, or similar leadership role.Previous experience delivering large-scale Data Centre, mission-critical, industrial, infrastructure, or complex construction projects.Strong organisational, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and relevant project management software.Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors through all stages of project delivery.Strong commercial awareness with a solid understanding of project financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.Good knowledge of construction procurement processes and contract administration.Ability to work under pressure and deliver demanding programmes while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.Experience managing client relationships and leading project delivery meetings.What's on OfferOpportunity to work with a recognised leader in the Data Centre construction sector.Be part of a forward-thinking team delivering critical infrastructure projects across Europe.Long-term career progression and professional development opportunities.Exposure to high-profile, technically challenging projects in a rapidly expanding industry.Competitive salary and benefits package.
