We are recruiting for a Project Controls Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor on a major civil engineering section of HS2. This is a pivotal role within a high‑performing project team shaping the future of national transport infrastructure.
The Role
You will lead the full suite of project controls activities across a complex, multi‑disciplinary construction environment. Working closely with project leadership, engineering, commercial and planning teams, you will ensure robust control of cost, schedule, risk and performance reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee integrated project controls including planning, cost management, risk, change and reportingLead and develop a team of planners, analysts and project controls specialistsMaintain accurate programme baselines and ensure alignment with contractual requirementsProvide high‑quality performance dashboards, earned value analysis and progress reportingDrive proactive risk identification, mitigation and trend analysisSupport governance reviews, client reporting and strategic decision‑makingEnsure compliance with project standards, processes and digital systemsAbout You
Strong background in project controls within major infrastructure, rail, highways or large‑scale civilsProven leadership experience managing multi‑disciplinary project controls teamsExcellent understanding of cost control, planning methodologies and earned value managementSkilled in Primavera P6, cost systems and project reporting toolsConfident communicator able to influence senior stakeholdersComfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑profile programme environment Read lessGreater London, United KingdomFull Time
