MEP Site Agent (Contract)

Location: West London, close to a major international airport

About the Opportunity

Our client is a leading construction contractor with a long-standing presence on a major UK transport hub, delivering complex infrastructure projects to high standards of quality, safety and environmental performance. Working under a long-term framework, they deliver design and build projects across both airside and landside areas, including pavement rehabilitation, critical utilities replacement and the redevelopment of operational areas. The programme is ongoing, with further major resurfacing works in planning. Work is carefully planned around critical live assets, with close engagement across a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all site activities and take ownership of safe, successful project deliveryDrive strong commercial performance and maintain effective cost controlDeliver works safely, without environmental incidents, and to quality standards free from defectsDevelop and implement project and management plans in line with company proceduresPrepare procurement schedules and work with the procurement team to ensure resources are in placeAct as the main point of contact for the client, maintaining strong working relationshipsIdentify and promote value engineering and efficiency opportunitiesKeep accurate site diaries and recordsProduce monthly reports for the client and internal stakeholdersChair weekly site meetings

Skills and Experience

Proven site management experience in construction, ideally in an MEP or civil engineering roleStrong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading project teamsExcellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, stakeholders and subcontractorsCommercial and contractual awareness, with experience in a cost-conscious environmentStrong technical knowledge of MEP engineering, backed by relevant project experienceComputer literateValid CSCS cardMembership of the Institution of Civil Engineers or equivalent (desirable)
