The Opportunity

Our client, a well-established M&E contractor delivering complex projects across London and the South East, is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to support the delivery of major data centre and mission-critical developments.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the installation of mechanical building services systems on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage all mechanical construction activities on site.Coordinate subcontractors and specialist mechanical installation teams.Ensure installation works are delivered in line with programme requirements.Oversee installation of:HVAC SystemsChilled Water SystemsCRAH & CRAC UnitsVentilation SystemsMechanical PipeworkCooling InfrastructurePublic Health ServicesBMS InterfacesMonitor site productivity, progress and resource allocation.Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications.Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times.Manage construction sequencing and coordination with electrical and CSA teams.Attend and lead site coordination meetings.Support commissioning activities and integrated systems testing.Identify programme risks and implement corrective actions where required.Produce regular progress updates for project leadership teams.Candidate RequirementsProven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager within an M&E contractor environment.Previous data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical or highly technical project experience.Strong understanding of HVAC, chilled water and critical cooling systems.Excellent site management and subcontractor coordination skills.Strong awareness of quality assurance and commissioning requirements.Ability to manage multiple work fronts within live construction environments.Excellent communication and leadership skills.QualificationsSMSTS.CSCS Black Card or Gold Card.Relevant mechanical qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent).First Aid at Work.IOSH or NEBOSH (desirable).What's on Offer£75,000 - £90,000 basic salary.Car allowance.Annual bonus.Pension scheme.Private medical insurance.Ongoing training and development.Excellent long-term career prospects.Opportunity to work on some of London's most prestigious data centre developments.Apply Now
