Our client, a leading M&E contractor, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for their commercial team on HS2 C2, based in Banbury. This permanent role offers scope for candidates operating at Commercial Manager level to be considered at an enhanced salary.

The Role:

Lead commercial delivery on M&E packages within the HS2 C2 worksOversee procurement strategy, subcontractor management, and commercial reporting across the packageAdminister NEC contracts, including compensation events and change controlProduce and present CVRs, cost-to-complete forecasts, and cash flow analysisManage final accounts and protect project margin through robust variation and risk managementFor candidates operating at CM level: broader oversight of the commercial function, mentoring junior QS staff, and closer client/stakeholder engagement

About You:

MEP/M&E commercial background preferred; candidates with a solid NEC and infrastructure background will also be consideredStrong NEC3/4 contract administration experiencePrior experience on major infrastructure or rail programmes advantageousSC Clearance desirable (or willingness to obtain)

On Offer:

Salary up to £95,000 per annum (negotiable above this for Commercial Manager-level experience)Permanent role on a flagship HS2 programme

You'll take ownership of commercial management on a high-profile infrastructure project, working closely with the operational team to protect and maximise contractual entitlements. Depending on experience, this role could suit someone ready to step up into a Commercial Manager position.

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with an MEP backgroundAlternatively, a strong NEC and infrastructure background will be consideredDegree/HNC level qualification and/or significant relevant experienceExperience managing change and subcontract accountsGood working knowledge of NEC3/4 contractsCandidates with Commercial Manager-level experience are encouraged to apply and will be considered for a higher package
