Our client, a leading Nordic General Contractor, is looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to oversee the commissioning programme on a hyperscale data centre project in Stockholm.
This position is ideal for a commissioning professional with a strong background working for Main Contractors on fast-track data centre projects. You will be responsible for managing the complete commissioning process from planning and pre-commissioning through to integrated systems testing and final client handover.
ContractLocation: Stockholm, SwedenWorking Arrangement: FreelanceContract Length: 12+ MonthsRate: Negotiable (Based on Experience)Mobilisation: ImmediateOn-site, 5 Days per WeekKey ResponsibilitiesLead the full site commissioning programme on behalf of the General Contractor.Develop commissioning plans, procedures, turnover strategies, and milestones.Manage all commissioning activities across electrical, mechanical, controls, fire protection, and security systems.Coordinate specialist commissioning subcontractors, vendors, and package teams.Lead Functional Performance Testing and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).Witness and approve FATs and SATs for critical infrastructure equipment.Manage commissioning documentation, issue trackers, and close-out processes.Act as the primary commissioning interface between the contractor and client teams.Ensure commissioning activities are delivered safely, to specification, and to programme.Support successful client handover and project completion.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Engineering or Building Services discipline.Proven experience leading commissioning activities for a General Contractor on large-scale data centre projects.Minimum 10 years commissioning experience, including 4+ years in a leadership capacity.Experience commissioning projects above 30MW IT load.Strong knowledge of:HV/LV Electrical DistributionGeneratorsUPS SystemsCooling InfrastructureBMS/EPMSControls IntegrationFire Life Safety SystemsStrong stakeholder management skills with experience dealing directly with developers and end-clients.Experience managing commissioning teams across multiple packages.Knowledge of CxAlloy, Omega 365, CxPlanner, or similar commissioning software.Swedish language skills are beneficial but not essential.Fluent English required.Read less
