Our client, a rapidly growing Nordic General Contractor, is recruiting a Commissioning Manager to support the delivery of a major hyperscale data centre project in Denmark.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for all commissioning activities across the project, managing subcontractors and specialist vendors while ensuring all systems are tested, validated, and handed over in accordance with project and client requirements.
ContractLocation: DenmarkWorking Arrangement: FreelanceContract Length: 12+ MonthsRate: Negotiable (Based on Experience)Mobilisation: ImmediateOn-site, 5 Days per WeekKey ResponsibilitiesLead the development and implementation of project commissioning plans.Manage all Levels 1-5 commissioning activities.Oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and handover phases.Coordinate commissioning subcontractors and specialist suppliers.Drive FAT, SAT, and system acceptance activities.Ensure commissioning activities align with programme requirements and project milestones.Maintain commissioning trackers, test records, issue logs, and turnover documentation.Liaise directly with client representatives, commissioning agents, and project management teams.Ensure all MEP systems are fully integrated and operational before final handover.Provide regular progress reporting to senior project stakeholders.RequirementsDegree qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.Minimum 10 years of commissioning experience within mission-critical construction environments.Strong General Contractor/Main Contractor background.Experience delivering commissioning on hyperscale or enterprise data centres.Thorough understanding of:Electrical Distribution SystemsStandby Power SystemsUPS InfrastructureMechanical Cooling SystemsBMS and ControlsFire Detection and Suppression SystemsExperience managing large multidisciplinary commissioning teams.Strong documentation and stakeholder management skills.Familiarity with commissioning management platforms.Previous Nordic project experience is highly desirable.Fluent English required.Read less
